re: btw is #31, the Shia interpretation only? do Sunni`s have a different interpretation?
God, I have no idea!
Left to defaecate? was that truly the reason? so all this brutality because someone left to take a piss and someone else forgot to take them with? that`s some nasty BS.

Is ``Aisha`` a common name in quaidianes/ahmadees. Aren`t said sects shia and abstain from Aisha?

NEAT! I thought this was just a story at first, the way it was written. Read an english translation of some faiz poetry once, not bad at all. It`s always a boon being related to someone famous; you seem pretty modest about it, so that`s doubly neat.

this was a human piece, with feeling. so much better than most of the psuedo-intellectual drivel proffered on this site. keep writing bupinder and don`t take these self-styled critics comments to heart. if they were any good themselves, they`d be fleeing autograph-seekers at book signings rather than logging in to post on chowk.

stupid naive question. what happend to muktaran mai`s brother and the woman he had ``befriended``? at 12, panchayat did not think he was a man, and hence did not put zinna / karakori punishment in action for him and the other woman. why? because she was from a more ``honorable`` tribe, one that they were trying to protect? when panchayat can say six men should rape unconcerned sister as punishment, why did they stop there? usually such panchayat thinks of boys as men after age 7-8. what was the real motive. why did that other women not say anything?
