urstruly;
this is over simplyfying and side tracking the whole issue ?
the victim mentality , perpetual state of denial and negativity is causing a deep impact on the quality of life of muslims in the west. It is also pushing the younger generations, who were born and raised in west, of these immigrants into a utter state of confusion.
their is a conspicuous absence of any effort to assimilate into their new homelands. Instead they have chosen to alienate themselves from the society at large to live in a cacoon.
I do not think the stand of these people is based on divine principles. Had it been like that we would have seen condemnation of the numerous muslim rulers who are constantly torturing their own people. I can say with authority that the much publicized scenes from the Abu Ghoraib prison are repeated every night in thousands of police stations and jails all across the land of pure.

you were able to cinvince an ignorant, illiterate and simple soul.
What about the numerous educated elite, living in US for decades , most of them naturalized citizens? In one breath they pray for the destruction of their chose homeland and in the next they complain on the immigration policies and concern for their kiths and kins who are rotting in the land of pure land and how eagerly they want them to come to this center of Kufr.
These people are cretainly not illiterate or non-acheivers. Most of their time is spent in researching yet new angles of the Jewish conspiracy. Its amazing how passionately these hypocrites believe in all the crap.

A Desi Dilemma
People who are not aware of the culture of tribal areas, may find it strange how close this story is to the reality.
This is a culture which draws its roots from customs and religion and wherever their is a conflict, the religious dictates are twisted and bent to conform to the traditions. Horrific segregation and lack of any access to the opposite sex has resulted in tacit acceptance of homosexuality. The Ghairatmand Khans take lot of pride in keeping a beautiful young boy in tow, understood to be a male concubine.

However as soon as I read of the murders, I could clearly feel and see the distortion. Not even the most henious murders would dare to openly confess and narrate the details of his capitol crime. At the least he would try to justify himself , even when confessing. I am confident , with the background that the writer has narrated, the killing part of writing is purely a fabrication of mind and nothing else. On the whole, this part is the undoing of any qualitative virtue of this article.
It would have been in good taste, if the writer had added a note on this.

I was trying to analyze! Is this fiction, an exercise in imagination or true happening. While going through the writing, I did not doubt overall in anything unusual in the sequence of events. This is what happens in the life of almost every young man belonging to somewhat affluent family. For being moderately affluent in pakistan, you dont have to be super rich.However as soon as I read of the murders, I could clearly feel and see the distortion. Not even the most henious murders would dare to openly confess and narrate the details of his capitol crime. At the least he would try to justify himself , even when confessing. The Human Dimension of Wars
Nasah;
Your comments carry no weight and do not convince any one having an iota of rationality. It is easy to call names. The problem is that your stands are not based on principles but resonate your inbuilt hard wired prejudices. If your breed had spoken against the gassification of his own people by Saddam; open flogging of girls by Taliban and numerous other atrocities which are on-going by muslims (mostly on other muslims), you had some moral grounds to stand upon. We have heard much about Abu Ghoraib, but do you realize that every police station of Pakistan is no less than an Abu Ghoraib. The fact is that you are perfectably comfortable with a muslim killing thousnads of non-muslims; Even muslim killing muslims is OK with you, for that is our internal affair. Islam is a religion of peace and justice for the humanity and not the Muslims alone. However unfortunately, as the things stand today, it has become synanomous with cruelity, gender discrimination, terrorism and what not. Please dont go into a state of denial and start blaming the jewish media and an international conspiracy for this.

your writing and view are extremely disgusting and devoid of any sense. You are representative of a growing number of US resident disoriented pseudo intellectuals whose sole aim in life is to discredit america and everything american. I think you guys have split personalities.
Guess what is the fact. You people are in love with American way of life. your none sense is not only tolerated but you are prospering here. You know very well that with this mindset you can not survive in any other country.

Dehliwala;
I guess you are right. Skardu is unlike any typical Pakistani place; same as most places in the southern india are not like India either. Their is something called diversity, and it is a desirealbe feature in the making of any nation.
Perhaps the place which emanates Pakistan most is none else but Dehli itself. Dehli`s most prodigious son is who else but general Musharraf.

A minor correction on Balti Chicken;
It has not originated in Baltistan. The Balti Chicken ( in punjabi language Balti Murgh ) is a favourite dish from Gujranwala, Lahore in Punjab Pakistan. Next time when you enjoy Balti Chicken in heathrow, you should have the murky streets of inner city of Gujranwala and Gowalmandi Lahore should be in the backdrop of your mind.

Proud Pakistani?
Proud Pakistani;
I can safely presume from your writing that you have never traveled abroad. The fact is that with the rampant document frauds by corrupt officials and human smmugglers for decades , the Pakistani Passport, ID`s, Driving Licence and any other documents have completely lost their credibility. So much so that at airports around the world carrying a Green of the Islamic Republic has become a curse and disgrace. Under the circumstances, the desire by genuine self respecting Pakistani travellers to carry a document which gives them a cretain minimum level of respect can be well understood.
It is heartening that NADRA is trying to implement some checks and balances and hence bring a little authenticity into the green. Please do not discourage their efforts. Its comforting to know that the rules and procedure are not easily circumvented at NADRA, even for someone who carries the mighty Press Card.
Proud Pakistani! rather than criticizing, try to get delight from the fact that after 60 years the nation has created a new public department which has ousted lot of rotten wood and attempting to put some sense into the nations immigarion, registration and statistical systems.

Celebrating the Khalsa
``I am reminded of Gita`s message and the fight for justice, even if it means war. But unfortunately in the current scenario, indians have lost the meaning of winning peace by war``
Violence can only beget more violence. The carnage and blood bath in Punjab at the time of partition, between Muslims and Sikhs, was a clear sequel to real (and many a times perceived) atrocities of a Moghal empire to Khalsas. Millions of muslims paid with their lives for the barbarities of Aurangzeb even after 250 years.
You should fight a war against injustice; not with guns and bombs, but like the Ghandi or Nelso Mendella.

Siachen’s Non-paper and the Non-people
`Pakistan have restored all possible land, rail and air links between the two countries, they have even gone on to open an unprecedented number of crossing points between the most troubled parts of Azad Kashmir and Jammu and Kashmir, yet calls for restoring road links between Baltistan and Ladakh, two perfectly peaceful places, have so far fallen on deaf ears in Delhi and Islamabad`
Mr Ismail Khan; Would you like to tell me the highways or the crossing points which ever existed between Ladakh and Baltistan and which the Pakistanis now refuse to open ?
I am surprised at the verbosity of the author and the manner he has tried to diffuse the truth with utter non sense.

Those men who enjoy rape are worse than animals.
and dont you belittle the struggle of a courageous lady. I sincerely hope that you are not in the category of people who would be ready to get their mothers and duaghters raped (voluntarily off course) to get rich.
did u retire from the punjab police ( you are a so called retired public servent , living in a posh area of islamabad on his huge pension).
I can understand why your wife left you. you should be ashamed of yourself.
