Jihadis are Our Real Enemies!

Mr.malick: ``It’s time now for us to re-write our constitution. Our constitution must represent two principles; people belonging to different faiths and sections of society should be equal before the law, the constitution and government policy. Secondly, separation of state and religion. We must modify our constitution to limit the realm of validity of religion in the public arena and society.``

It would be far better if you were to provide some proof, logical reasoning or may be some referrable material with your statements. I see you have made a whole bunch of statements about what its time for, but it would be more useful if you were to explain your argument.

Now, coming to the second part of your suggestion to separate state from religion. Let me reiterate by asking you to provide some reasoning as to how you have come to such a conclusion.
In my opinion, what you suggest, would be the biggest mistake Pakistan will, if ever, makes.
Reason being that the basis of the creation of Pakistan are on grounds of religious freedom; the concept of a people to live their lives the Islamic, or more precisely peacful, way. Our way of life(Islamic) , in principle, is complete if practiced in its entirety. Its separation from the constitution would mean that we would have to define secular laws and principles. But let me tell you this, there are no other principles that can be better than those of God. Have a little more `faith` in Him and His principles will you? I`m sure you believe in His existance at the very least. I think I dont have to explain why his principles are the best.

(Forgive me if I sound in a tone to judge your value system of beliefs, I by no means intend in doing so)

May I remind you on a side note that the Quran speaks of MAN and his associations, and it is men who define the ``public arena and society``. Perhaps you have limited your understanding of the Quran, hence Islam, to just veils around your women. Or perhaps you refer to the people who think they know Islam but really dont, and some how force you into being deprived of art, science and humanity.
I can vouch for you by saying that the ``Jihadis` `` actions have an effect on our lives, but they by no means stop us from the above mentioned.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.
A Fobby Love Story

An interesting perspective. Although, I recommend not making wide generalities. Speaking in specific terms is more safe before one is sorry. I can imagine the reaction to the amount of criticizm the author has received on things ranging from his understanding of people to his the very core principles of his life.

If I were in the author`s shoes, I would restric the story to my own situation and not make accusations to the majority.
