Muslims ‘Unveiled’
Posted by antamazol Oct 16, 2006 06:34 am
very well written.
`The niqab is not mandatory according to traditional Islamic scholarship and by insisting on it, a minority of Muslims are doing themselves and Islam in Britain a disservice. I also think that any items of clothing which make you stand out from the mainstream should be avoided. Islamic dress code is all about modesty--a long skirt and a jumper can, with a headscarf, (for women) or traditional British trousers and blazer (for men) satisfy the religious requirements. All it requires is some application of common sense``
I fully agree with you.The teacher must have common sense of not hidding her mouth, how can students comprehend her teaching.

Psychology of Suicide ’Bombers’
Posted by antamazol Aug 24, 2006 09:27 am
Dr sohail,
very right anlysis of suicidial bombers.
western powers do understand it but intentionally , don`t want to address it.
`` is so tragic that even in the 21st.century rather than being civilized and enlightened, living with peace, harmony and love and realizing that all of us are members of the same family, the human family, we are still considering members of other religions, sects, tribes, countries and communities as our enemies and then demonizing them to such an extent that we are willing to take their lives with no stab of conscience whether as army officers in the West or as ‘suicide bombers’ in the East. We still do not realize that we are all children of Mother Earth, our enemies are our distant cousins and all human beings are equally sacred. How sad``
last paragraph is very very true.

Change Management:Marx and Muslims
Posted by antamazol May 27, 2006 12:54 am
yasser,well written ,bright ideas!
` The bottom line is that the logic of the process has triumphed and Muslims should embrace it wholeheartedly. The refusal to do so will only make transition more painful and slow. Instead the Muslims should revisit the change management technique that we believe the Holy Prophet (PBUH) left us in form of Ijtehad and Ijmah. A serious Ijtehad should be able to tell us that march of humanity will continue with or without us and that Ijmah (or consensus) is the basic principle of the system that we know as democracy. `
I fully agree with you.

Why Superwomen Have it Bad
Posted by antamazol May 24, 2006 05:04 am
Kiran Shah,
You have summed up marriage life in a befitting manner. But the points you have mentioned may terrified unmarried women.
So let me encourage them , it varies from individual to individual. My husband is very caring especially at the time of delivery and also in earlier months. His ego never hurt by changing diaper, sometimes he gives bath to the baby, cut her nails several times he gave me opportunity to take rest and took care of the baby. However some of your points are true,
“38. Your family will be insulted at some point or the other, take it with the heartbreak it deserves”
Here you are right, complaint like this is often heard.
“Going to the bathroom for a quick pee is possible, because half of it is out anyway, but a shower is too self-indulgent a process after the baby is born.
23. You must wait to spend more than 15 minutes in the bathroom until the baby is big enough to drag you in herself and insist on a co-shower.
24. You will traumatize your baby if you forgot to use the work toilet for your elongated constipation sessions.
Very true. I enjoyed your article .
With regards,

I Could Invent a Religion…
Posted by antamazol May 23, 2006 07:07 am
Good article,
I think , this religion is only a guide line to serve humanity, there is no need to bush it in each and every aspect of life and add miseries to humans.
Pakistani Obsessions
Posted by antamazol May 23, 2006 01:24 am
very good article,
`incidents of sectarian violence were rarely heard of. Never a fully democratic and open society, Pakistan nevertheless was a peaceful and reasonably tolerant place - religion was vital but we were not fanatical ,
` We cannot wait for the messiah to show up and lead us out of this morass. Generals and professional politicians have caused sufficient damage already. We don’t want the intolerance and bigotry of mullahs, maulanas and imams and we have had enough of feudals, waderas, sardars, khans and nawabs. We need a movement of the middle class – a Pakistani velvet revolution; a rebellion of thought, introspection, rationality, pragmatism, tolerance, progress, enlightenment and justice; a dream and a hope.

Khuda nay aaj tak us koam ki halat nahi badli
Na ho jis ko khayal khud apni halat key badalney ka

i fully agree with you.

The Dark Side of Love
Posted by antamazol May 19, 2006 04:12 am
nice reading,
where ever is love , jealousy is bound to present.
However if `inocent flirtation` as you said is allowed to both partners, there will be less jealousy

Proud Pakistani?
Posted by antamazol Apr 23, 2006 12:46 am
khattak sab,
congratulation to get passport.but you should not challenge the rules.Passport is always issued from your abode.nothing new.
Colonel, is right in saying ,
``Proud Pakistani! rather than criticizing, try to get delight from the fact that after 60 years the nation has created a new public department which has ousted lot of rotten wood and attempting to put some sense into the nations immigarion, registration and statistical systems.

it would take time . we inshalla would be soon among the civilized nations

Ahmadis – The Forgotten People
Posted by antamazol Apr 7, 2006 06:39 am
feroz, very true.
we are intolerant . i recalled back,My brother was in Medical college when this movement started, and he has Ahmadi friend. A bunch of mullah minded boys came to his room and threatened him either you come to Mosque and announce that you are Muslim or we shall accept you as Ahmadi. His reply was ` I am a good human being , you go and do whatever you like.
