The Hindus, belonging to the oppressed tribal Bheel community, came from Pakistan’s Sindh and Punjab provinces. “With consistent intimidation on religious grounds, they have no option but to move to safer places in India,” says Seemant Lok Sangthan (SLS) president Hindu Singh Sodha, who is spearheading a campaign for Pakistan’s displaced Hindu minority. “They were forced to live in fear,” says Baldev, a relative of the group members.
