Of course we've all heard the song and dance about free speech, but it is the responsibility of all citizens to ensure that they do not give a podium/soap box to people who are screaming out bald-faced lies.

All one has to do is type Taliban fire fight or something of the sort on youtube and see one of the many videos where Americans and their Afghan trainees fought against Taliban and captured them only to find out that they were from Southern Punjab rather than Pushtuns. It is a well established fact that one of the reasons the Karzai government hates Pakistan is because of the number of non-Pashtun Pakistanis who are involved in the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Secondly, this whole idea of Al Qaeda is ridiculous. There is still no proof that this organization even exists or that there is a single person who is actually a member. There are arabs here for sure...but that doesn't make it Al Qaeda...they've been here since the Afghan jihad and they settled here and had families here.

Then is the ridiculous idea that Taliban and this whole thing are some sort of Arab nationalism. This is just staggeringly stupid that it dont think it deserves a response beyond that....oh hell.....anyone who knows anything about these "Islamic movements" knows that nationalism is considered an alien ideology. For a "writer" to try to argue that this is arab nationalism is a demonstration of his/her total lack of knowledge on the subject.
