Musharraf\'s Resignation and Beyond
I went through the same with several of my cousins etc .... when they were a little younger (uni going age) and even organised a uni admission for two at great expense one in the UK and the other in Australia .... it was all thrown back in my face! apparently getting engaged/married was more important for the girls. Now I am made to feel guilty for not pushing the issue hard enough at the time!!
one can only feel sad .... like you said, its not that easy

I am far more a Pakistani than you'll ever be!! exactly how long have you been having these fruitful discussions here? and exactly what have you achieved? apart from threatening people with bombs if "your lot" didn't get their way!

[[Regarding God's gender, we must remember, language is just one tool of communication with all the limitations of a tool in the hands of a feeble creature. Even Divine when speaking to that creature has to speak through that tool with all its limitations. Reality is not understood through words alone even if those are Sacred words. Reality is known only by experience. And in the world of experience there is no labeling, there is no gender talk. In fact, there is no talk at all. It is silence – utter and complete - and Lover and Beloved are one.]]
thank you very much for proving my point once again sir! just clarify with the "others" here whether they want to "join the Lover and Beloved into One" first. Clearly they are not as enthused with this "Rumi-onic" way of thinking .... despite quoting Iqbal left, right and centre, when it suits their objectives .... the very fact that there are so many different "interpretations" is a testament to the futility of your arguments .... or "theirs" for that matter

one of the earliest childhood memories I have is when we were visiting Pakistan in 1977 ... i must have been 6/7 perhaps ... ZAB's government was toppled by "amir-ul-momineen" and there was just pure jubilation on the streets.... people literally dishing out "halva" (a term used to spite the maulvis by the PPP wallas), dancing about and all sorts ....... almost feels like de ja vu! .... perhaps in a different direction ..... one only hopes the "right" one! though if I were a betting man ..
Long Live Pakistan
this poem was written in 1951/2 .... only a few years after independence ..... wasn't just "bemoaning" dictatorship but the premise for partition and the so-called independence too

thank you ..... point taken ...
[you can however repent it.]
by the same token, lack of repent is also "written" in the same maqtoob .... hence NO FREE WILL! .... alas!
