to which in #61, I replied what 'our people' signifies to me, and I expressed my doubt that you understand what 'people' are, in the first place.

All this 'talk' can get suffocating, like the talk-shows our very own NFP hates to death and all life after.

Thereek-e-Televiban: A Short History #58, I find it alarming that a 'people' can be understood as a 'political species' -- I believe people are FAR MORE than economic 'figures' or 'political' figures, this hardly defines them. I'd like to still say, NFP once stood, or I hope, stands for something more than a mere label -- you talk of 'human rights'
well airing opinions this way or that, makes no difference to anyone -- go out there, and DO something. Build schools, colleges, live with those who have been terrorized, bring them out of their calamities -- there is much you can do.

NFP is providing a good resource for "BE DONE WITH THE TALIBAN ALREADY" -- and he can spend time and energy on this, that is great. Let him do it...I know I'd be bored in half a day.

So at least he's good for something -- I don't know what you do. Think about that.

People 'talk' all the time, its difficult to DO something. My case is different of course, because my poems are constructed to create specific environments. It is much needed around here, from what I can tell.

Thereek-e-Televiban: A Short History #53 I do not feel its a joke at all. Though, by profession I am not part of the government, this makes me feel handicapped -- as I am not in any position of authority, to do away with anyone whatsoever.
I am a writer, want to start literary movements [I hear Faiz did this for his language, for his relation to poetry, as well] -- and in this manner I want to be a Pakistani. Our image on the international front is failing, failing, failing --
Our people are bound in so many internal conflicts, that I can't keep track of even one.

Now, what you are saying to me, is new...I'm trying to fathom it with care. The issue is not over, that's all I'm saying. I fear character assassination, based on a few remarks the guy has made in his article --
He is known for his madness, who knows what it was he was really saying?

As far as the rest goes, politics and corruption goes hand in hand, you trust no one. Nothing. Is all I ever did manage to learn.

Are things the way they should be? Hell no.

Do I believe in or PM our President? No again. The question is what we can do, and I write poetry, and start philosophical debates, we are all good at something or the other. We just have to learn how to make a difference, no matter how small -- for friendship, for brotherhood and for humanity.

Enemies of the "spirit" of Karachi, [this is artistic/creative/free the life - the real life - is always so] are my enemies as well. Are you suggesting NFP is part of the killings in our city? Are you serious? What next.

Though as far as I can tell, I haven't seen any fraudulent activities in his work -- his 'statement' to the world, does not seem to be 'kill all spirit' (that's what blind killers in karachi, or anywhere else, would stand for)

I would love to 'blindly' accept what you are saying -- but it seems to me, its just your opinion. I always come to my own conclusions --even if it takes years. Abhee tak, ye jo Taliban kee kum-aql qaum kei liyei likh rahai hain, kaafi relevant hai, kaafi acha hai, aur kaafi mayenei deita hai...

Thereek-e-Televiban: A Short History "Internal enemies and traitors" should be hanged. Again, I have no affliction with political stands, and god alone knows what all that is about.

However, in the world of Journalism, NFP's work is startling and innovative -- he's shown that it IS possible after all, to bring the creative side of life to the forefront -- His writing is not 'ordinary' -- it does not happen everyday.

In fact, after years I'm thinking of Journalism again, and perhaps its not afterall just about fashion worlds, nor just plain reports -- it IS possible to find a way through this world, if you want to. His life is a success.

I was just kidding around, and you know it. Your work of course is relevant, and of integral value -- I have often discarded poem after poem, yet preserved the struggle, for the breakthrough one, marks my time for me. So you write articles in newspapers, your 'work' -- and this non-relation is a must, for paper is like that. All paper, inevitably is.

You have a way with humor, and probably the social situation is well-crafted for you -- and you know what you're doing.

I was just playing truant - for no reason whatsoever. Time to leave I think, as I no longer know where this is going.

This journalist -- satire, thing is creative, but now its 1)repetitive, and 2) boring -- he just doesn't hate Taliban, he hates all members of society as well. He needs a vacation, in dubai, take his wife shopping. Get in touch with the Yin.lol

Thereek-e-Televiban: A Short History lol -- the part I like best is that a humorist is trying to justify his existence, and claim himself as a 'historian' -- most of the articles I've read of his, were full of gibberish -- 'justified' only when you consider Alfred Jarry's 'pataphysics'
(Alfred Jarry came up with this absurd theory, that by using nonsensical language he could make sense of all sorts of 'serious' things -- in other words, a 'parody')

That is all what Nadeem can 'hope' to classify his work as (not at all original, clearly following work done by millions before)
BUT, a pataphysician is allowed 'publicly' to call himself a 'HISTORIAN' and strut around with his fancy articles ???--

what is this world coming to?

Plus, the guy is obsessed with the Taliban folk, and cannot get his rigid and fixated stare off of them. This makes me doubt his condition -- because such obsessions are usually linked to the person's personal life. I 'wonder'....really do. ....Can't wait for the next "Taliban bad Taliban" ...*yawn*.....
