We Have Met the Enemy and the Enemy is Us!

{"....if you are so interested in jihad, why aren't you out their defending the borders of islam....... "}

Romair,
Among my thousands of complaints against the Jihadis is their stupidity, nonsensical priority, lack of strategy, and blind cruelty that has moved the borders of Islam from Chechnya and Bosnia to Mosul and Jalalabad.

If these Jihadis become any more successful, we will be defending Medina and Tando Adam.

Usamamunir #308,
On second thought I appreciate your passionate defense of the status quo as far as the Pakistani military is concerned. Notwithstanding your Mir Jafar reference, the fact remains that you read my article, understood it, and formed a very strong and determined viewpoint. I accomplished the primary purpose of writing an article. Thank you, sir.

{"I agree with Urstruly that the size of the standing army needs to be drastically reduced. Where I disagree with him is on the defence budget. It needs to come down substantially as well. Money isw badly needed for the well being of the human capital, for education, healthare and for building and/or improving the infrastructure.

The best way to ensure the reduction of the size of the army is to get rid of all the perks that go with military career. ...Also, the compulsory military service should be for men only. Turkye, with a much smaller population than Pakistan, seems to be able to manage without enforcing it on women.

Needless to say, perks needed to be taken away from non-military jobs as well."}

Viqar Sahib,
First of all thank you for helping to restore the discussion to the important topic of my article. I totally agree with you about reducing the "defense" budget and concentrating on rebuilding/enhaning the country's infrastructue. By universal national service, including for men and women, Muslims and non-Muslims, I mean to accomplish national integration by having Pakistanis of all shades and creeds, all languages and cultures to learn to work together. Drafting of women, possibly in non-combat roles, but definitely instructed in military matters, will help to raise the standarde of education, health, social consciousness, and, most importantly, female rights.

Yes, there is no need for perks when it comes to public service.

{"best thing for Pakistan would be to "out-source" its defence"}

Cheema Sahib,
Those Pushtoons, now called Tally Bans, didn't respect the gay Alexander, the rich Moghuls, the kosherly bearded Sikhs, the ghost-white English, the takbeer chanting Pakis, and now the "we won in Eye Rack" Americans. What makes you think that they will respond more positively to Injuns from Bangalore?

{"I must agree that the army is best served by religion drunk punjabis and pushtoons doing all the actual fighting with urdu speakers doing the more important work like giving press conferences, scotch swilling and dog keeping."}

Clifton Beti,
With the recent experience of Gen. Muttaraf and the thoroughly incompetent Gen. Mirzai Ass Lame Bag Two, let's just say we give these Urdu speaking Conquistadores their well-deserved Canadian visas.

HP #383 {"I will only recruit officers from Baluchistan and Sindh"}

HP,
I can understand Baluchistan, I can even understand recruiting "new" Sindhis. But do you think that people who have a hard time poking their heads out of sunroofs will be able to ride in open air jeeps?

Satan Any,
The army practices Hindu Kushing. Islam treats all humans as equal - no castes, no untouchables, no Brahmin bum to kiss.

Clifton Beti,
Thanks for clearing that up. "Usama" was going to get a standing ovulation from a patriotic American.

By the way, I am corresponding as PAKIHUNK because my own nic has been silenced after my article was botched.

Chowk is rapidly becoming like the Pakistan under military dictatorships - the newspapers are full of good news and the jails are full of good people.

Sincerely,
Salim "Jafar" Chauhan

usamamunir #388 {"Fortunately i come from military family which has presence in all facets of the armed forces and by virtue of that had the opportunity to know the army and the people first hand, so i have a safety net against such mir jaffars of the nation. i know that our army is strong , in good spirits and united."}

Dear Mr. Usama
Your own statement above invalidates your credentials as an objective person regarding this topic. Obviously you are some military brat who now feels threatened about losing the good life and the perks to the civilian VIPs of the PPP. LOL Mir Jaffer LOL
Are you related to that "Shaheed if we die, Ghazi if we win, but kohtay if we surrender" Ghazi General A K Niazi?
Tell me, are you writing from a cave?

Chowk Staff, Nashukri ki had hogayi he!

Chowk Staff,
First you botch up my article - We have met the enemy and the enemy is us!
You messed it up by deliberately hacking off the last and most important paragraph that contained my conclusion and a suggested resolution of the issue.

Second, you ignore my 3 e-mails and 4 feedback messages requesting your cooperation in rectifying YOUR mistake.

Third, you add injury to insult by banning the author of the article, Salim_Chauhan, the last living descendant of the great Rajput warrior, Prithviraj Chauhan.

Fourth, you did this unjust and illogical banning merely so that Salim_Chauhan cannot moderate his own article - something noticed by the noble sage of Chowk, Monsieur Tahmed Trente-deux.

Shame on you.

Meanwhile, as Pakiturnk, I will continue to report on matters - regardless of your threats and draconian measures.

I interviewed Dr.Chou Mai Dong in the Dungoen and asked him about his comments on the presidential debate.

Dr. Chou said "I SINK THAT BAMA MAN HAV BETTA CHANCE OF ERECTION ZAN MECCAN MAN."

Hamidumdum Sahib #350

Out of simple discussions come great ideas. After discussing matters with you, HP Sain, and some thought-provoking nuisance from Shrimati Jang Singh, I just recalled something similar and quite pertinent from our illustrious Mughal history.

When that Pathan rascal, Sher Shah Suri, of Rohilkhand made life impossible for the great Mughals, chasing Humayun to Iran and building the G. T. Road to speed up his exile, something wonderful happened. Humayun turned Shiah, borrowed an army from Iran, attacked Hindustan, defeated the Pathans, won back the throne, and started a new army. Under Akbar "Hritik Roshan" the Great, a new model was devised for the Imperial Mughal Army. New alliances for forged with Rajputs and Akbar formed his own personal alliance with Maharani Joda "Aishwarya Rai Bachchan" Bai. The army was composed roughly of 50% Pathans and 50% Rajputs, most of whom later on converted to Islam. Then the Taj Mahal was built, the British came, Gandhiji put on his diapers, Jinnah Sahib saved the day, and and then Salim Chauhan was born - only to be banned by the BJP/RSS/VHP/BD/JS/SP/SS goons called Chowk Staff. Khatam Shud.

Urstruly #368 {"I have 40 inch chest and I can take two bullets on each of these inches for my country. I do not beleive in the concept of professional army. "}

Bradrum Urstruly Qibla,
I agree with you about the concept of a professional army - to me there is little difference between a professional army and professional women. Both of them are motivated by material gain and there is no love or affection involved in their respective occupations.

As for your 40" equipment and its ability to withstand or launch multiple missile attacks, please refrain from discussing inches, feet, and yards in the presence of Indians. It makes them uncomfortable and erodes their self-esteem. No wonder these savages resort to discussing distances and lengths in terms of percentages. I should know, I am at least 25% Hindu.

Hamidumdum Sahib #372

Sir,
This is your Salim Mian logging in. I had to resort to yet another meaningful nick to exercise my freedom of speech. Does Mrs. Hamidumdum have another Chappal for Chowk Staff? These authoritarian draconian Armenian and Gregorian contratians have botched up my article, ignored numerous e-mail and feedback messages from me to correct their mistake, and now they have banned Salim_Chauhan. I ask you, sir, is this any way to usher in the new era of democracy in our land. I have a suspicion that the horrible hindoos with the aid of some House Moslems have taken over the mismanagement of Chowk. If the Chappal has 6 inch heels - all the better.

Hamidumdum Sahib #371,
Sir,
You know that I know that we both know that I am a great fan of yours. Even as I abstain from the forbidden nectar, I applaud your ability to kill the Injuns by appealing to their extreme jealousy as they watch your example.

I have no problem with letting the Pak military cross the LoC as long as they promise never to come back. As for those with exposed ankles, just wait for the winter in Landi Kotal - the cold winds and freezing snow is bound to give them arthritis and who ever heard of a Tally Ban with shin guards?

I am sure that I will be able to convince our own Chowkie Vadera, HP Sain, to go along with your plan. Since President Kardari (or was it Tarkari?) is his role model and the episode with Sarah will convince him to make love not war
