White people , tabla, sittar and harmonium

I attended a concert desi ( Almost classical ) music but the musician, tabla nawaz, sittar nawazi and harmoiun bazz were all goras and above all the moghnia was a smart european lady with a very nice punjabi, urdu accent and shudd budhh of sur and raag. Any body with their experince of oriental music!!!
