Things you can tell just by looking at her - Dir: Rodrigo Gracia.

A gem of a movie by up and coming Rodrigo Garcia. The beauty of Garcia’s technique is his employing of six different threads (each is brilliantly anchored by one of the six leading actresses) to create a multi-layered narrative, a conversation of sorts about the artifices of womanhood and just what unspeakables lurk beneath that ’’Look’’.
The kind of focus, he has been able to achieve is quite something with all of his leading ladies delivering great performances. Movie goes sideways, involves alot of mirroring from one character onto other and yet able to pull off something daring; that sidelong glance - the curious inner dialogue of Being Oneself. Garcia’s approach in that regard is visceral and he uses his medium to a fukkin-ay’ great effect. A definite good-watch.!

Rodrigo Garcia also happens to be the son of Latin American literary God, Gabriel Garcia Marquez. This was his debut film.
