I liked it, particularly the way the story/mystery is unfolded, where one has to rethink and reinterpret what was shown before about the dead wife. It was not unbelievable, it was bit like an extra colorful Shyam Benegal, with a mystery thrown in. flag objectionable content

rahul, i agree with what you say about the camerawork being so amazing in this. and fiennes has always been so good in how his characters portray emotion (or lack of it). flag objectionable content

ana, I too dint find anything condescending in it. As movies go, this aint a great movie.But superlative performances by Weisz and Fiennes and extraordinary camerawork make this one feel out of the ordinary. flag objectionable content

The real star of this movie is Fernando Meirelles who is hopelessly and pathetically unable to shoot a scene in an uninteresting way. You should also see City Of God. flag objectionable content
