Now Which Movie . . .

Topic started by Simon_Templar on Oct 7, 2005 5:48:47 pm

Scared you ?. Not just scared you while you were watching it, but
continued to give you the willies a day, a week, or a year later. :)

I don’t naturally gravitate towards a horror flick. But there were a
few cousins who were neck-deep in that genre and so I saw (quite)
a few with them.

The movie that did it for me, was The Omen-I. It felt real. Maybe it
was the story, the direction, the movie score, the acting, Gregory
Peck...but it all came together for me, in that movie. Actually, it
still does, more so than the slick horror flicks churned out since.
The movie got 8 Oscar nominations.

As a kid, I remember making plans to check the hair of few of
the brats in the family & friends, to see if they carried the Mark
of the Beast.
:))

psycho. it was a late-night flick, and my mom, brother and i were watching it together, and they dozed off right before the very last scene, when the camera, or the chair turns to show the mother. . . omigod.

but the one that scared me and stayed with me for a very long time was not a horror movie per se. it was an old movie with burt lancaster, i think, and barbara stanwyck called ’’sorry wrong number’’ i watched it when i was very small, and to see an invalid talking to her husband on the phone, and looking at the shadows and seeing what was going to happen to her, what did happen to her was rather traumatic. *shudders*

There were guys in the hostel who got scared watching ’’The Entity’’. It was fun knocking on their door for months after that wearing a white bedsheet and sunglasses on top (T)

the very first movie that scared the beejesus out of me was
the exorcist, i couldn’t go to the bathroom alone for a week

the second movie was the ring.... watched it in a veeran theater near midnight with my girlfriends, we all drove home alone in the dead of the night..... it was scary as hell

there was also an indian movie that scared me, an old movie called ’woh kaun thi’ the movie itself was a bit on the stupid side, but the heroine, sadhna was quite a good actress
