Movie based on Kurt Cobain’s final hours directed by Gus Van Sant. Anyone seen it? Any good?

amrita:
terence malick is a Revolutionary in my book alongside Altman (talking of americans)ok welles too.

his arrangement of images in a film doesnt conform to anything that i kno. thin red line and days of thunder are MAJOR symphonic works if there cud be such a thing for movies, imo.

usual social contextual bs and ’story’ are just mere excuses for him... like wong kar-wai.

hey dont confuse your crush for mine :)) but those phoenix bros are something, arent they? i saw the ’making of’ walk the line today and it looks really good.

saw ’good night and good luck’ and ’capote’ - loved them both but the former is very regional i.e. has a lot of american subtext that can be hard to decipher.

i havent heard much about the new world although terence malick is always good for something exciting. but you never know - look at sam mendes and jarhead. but munich might be worth a look see if it doesnt descend into the usual spielberg flick canon.
