raw_dust, london is filled with these places, it is the birth place of punk music and also some really good stuff, however my friends have little interest in such things, hence considering me as a juvenile. i would love to venture to such places. i have been to a few, but not many, but got quite a buzz when i went to my first concert recently (sad i know - have been living here for 8 years and it was my first one), and out of all the places it was in brixton, notoriously known for its thuggish black and protugese community. nevertheless, i loved it, both the concert and the area and have qualms of going there again, but would love to go with someone who holds the same passion as i do!

... and then there is the underground of the underground that can only be found in punk joints selling pbr on tap, very late at night where now even cig. smoke needs an ID to get in. most of the stuff that goes on there is prolly nt worth it but sometimes there are moments of pure magic and when that happens nothing seems like it. london must have several thousand of those spots...

fully agree with minhaj! i just find it sad that no one discusses about art, music and literature as much as they like insulting other relgion and country.
there should be more discussions of this sort!
thx faizan! (T)
and to rahul, raw_dust and che for their recommendations in music! i feel like i’m becoing that music buff that i always wanted to be!! (T)

Thanks everyone :| ...I thought no one was actually reading any of what I was putting up. I’ve written reviews for Chowk in the past, but recently, they just don’t get published anymore. So I stick to the smaller format.

Anyway, I don’t have any opinion about how these should be put up, either as single movie threads or threads by genre etc. I have just tried to follow the forum tradition.

I agree with Minhaj though..this is the damn popular entertainment section....we should be flooded with people and their opinions!

’’actually, the editor should give him a spot on FP. that’d be better, me thinks.’’
iI second this.

maybe faizan could bunch ’em up in a single thread? - the ones with a similar context: director, genre, time-period etc. thanks faizan.

actually, the editor should give him a spot on FP. that’d be better, me thinks.

Yes. I am reading the reviews and watching the films. This is the Books Movies and Music discussion board. This should be the most happening place. We should try and start some good discussions on art and literature and film over here. I want to discuss OmKara which is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Othello. I did not read Othello but the film is so interesting that you cant look away. Lots of killing and dancing keep you interested till the end.
