I have zero respect for both these individuals but i am really glad that sanity has prevailed, or at least the appearance of sanity.

Oh and Zee ...the last two para's are for you ...so tell me ...who blinked first? Your "lion" or our cheetah? ...lol...

also it seems muttarvas are not the only sindhis with "victim syndrome" ...or "grievience" as it becomes when Zardari says it.

Still nice of him to recognize the matyrs, about 15 years later....and wish for the two little girls to not enter professional mud wrestling in the future. (Although noone doubts altaphs gansta chick could probably beat bilawal and bakhtawar's pansy little butts deep into the ground even today)

Tangentially... whoever thought we'd live to see a per vaginal approach to Paki national politics. Why doesnt Zardari change his own name to bhutto too ?

I didn't realize that I'd live to say that I prefer listening to AZ than to Pir Sahib Londonwala. I mean, c'mon, there is a proper day for mefil-e shaame-gharibaaN. Come to think of it, I can even listen to ganji TaaNT, but AB Altaf Bhai) is a CD(complete disaster). flag objectionable content

If transformation implies recognizing reality and leveraging goodwill for the benefit of Pakistan, then yes, I plead guilty. My patriotism and loyalty are not subject to approval by any leader - be it Altaph Payee, Asif Payee, or even Chacha Al-Butteesi. flag objectionable content

It was just a cheap show" yeah eggsactly! hence the title! i'd rather have peace than politicians with integrity ...but with this lot we often end up with neither. Id like to be more optimistic... but im thinking tere vaade pe jiyen hum to ye jaan jhoot jana ke khusshi se mur na jate agar aitbar hota cant beat this stuff for entertainment though ! Tahmed would be proud of Salims tranformation , too bad chachoo doesnt phatak near chowkconnect flag objectionable content

We paid with a million lives for Pakistan. We paid with hundreds of thousands of lives to preserve half of Pakistan. We have paid with thousands of lives to preserve Pakistani sovereignty that was about to be ceded by a selfish and power-hungry dictator. Let's not waste any more lives in ensuring that permanent democracy will be future of Pakistan. The enemies on our eastern border enjoy and applaud the bloodbath, the decline, and the misery that accompany our civil strife. Let's not reward them with more tragedy to encourage their macabre dance of joy. If we become stable, they will have to address their own problems - which are far more numerous and much more menacing than our own. flag objectionable content

Ignoring the nonsense about prostitution, this is a very good sign. I am amazed at the display of statesmanship and sound judgment from Zardari and Nawaz Sharif. It's encouraging to note Altaf Bhai responding in positive notes. It's time we Pakistanis dump the baggage from the past as we endeavor to dump the dictator who has lingered around like two-week old fish in the refrigerator. Mohajirs should abandon Mushy and join the blooming democracy that is hopefully a reality in Pakistan. We should all be thankful to Mushy's unbelievable stupidity that has delivered the miraculously beneficial result of uniting Pakistanis for Pakistan. flag objectionable content
