Hey, this is taquiyya.
Either you mean-

1. "Jihad is essentially a Muslim's effort in the service of, or struggle for (supremacy of) , Islam. "

or

2. Jihad is essentially a Muslim's effort in the service of, or struggle for (survival of) , Islam."

you have to supply the correct expression in order to make the term "struggle for Islam" clear to every one instead of leaving it on gullible idolators to guess the meaning!!

Armed combat is not the only form of jihad (or even of the 'outer jihad'). A momin/momina confronted with a non-Islamic dispensation or perceived manifest injustice to Islam and/or Muslims is expected to do jihad with the sword, if possible; if not, by overt political action; if that is not feasible, through speech and personal advocacy; if not, at least in his or her heart. (This is my paraphrase, but I have reason to believe that this is Islamic gospel, or at least widely promulgated and accepted doctrine.)

The point is to not passively submit to the kuffar establishment, but instead to increase Islam's mind-share, to promote Islamic ways of viewing the world, to always resist, by any feasible means, until all worship Allah alone and the Islamic millennium has been ushered in.


Now our neembu is not someone who regards Islam as a intrinsically evil, violent, retrograde and a threat to human freedom. She does not even view it with basic indifference as a tiresome outworn creed with nothing to offer the modern world. She appears to sincerely believe that a dispensation that is pro-feminist, gender-equitable, and compatible with her progressive political sensibilities, can be grounded in Islam. Her frequent if comical attempts to promote and discuss Islamic feminism (as seen in the works of Fatima Mernissi , Asra Nomani , Leila Ahmed , Amina Wadud , Asma Barlas and other eminent Muslim feministas ) should be read as a form of advocacy for Islam and its relevance to our times. It is in this sense that neembu should be viewed as a jihadi.

CA, tahmedji is a very strange person. He has some totally unique ideas and interpretations, his take on kashmir jihad being among the relatively less interesting of those. Someone was talking about knowing twenty odd other people in the world who share his interpretations. Would love to know who those twenty are!

jang, that would be more like krishna-rukmini mandir. To get the radha-krishna experience you might need muhammadi begum-mirza sahib mandir (except that this radha, one hears, wasn't very willing).

I am not that well versed on Mirza and where he got his crazies, but I know one thing Mirjaees have pics of him hanging in their houses, usually thats the first thing you see when you enter a mirzaee house. Other devoutees may have all the calipas too dangling about. His moorti hmmmm
