likely outcome of fight between Cobra and Wolfe

Topic started by Cobra on May 13, 2008 3:46:40 pm

Big cats have instinctive fear of venomius snakes. So the leopard will try to move away from the snake as quicky as possible. Spitting cobra's venom is its lethal weapon. If it came in contact with the eyes, it can easily make the leopard blind. venomous snakes are potential threats to big cats. However pythons, a non venomous type snake is known to fall prey to tigers and and jaguars.

If the leopard became blind, it will result in indirect death as it will not be able to hunt and protect itself from other predators.

The same things appy on wolfs and wild dogs also. Like leopard they will also move away from the cobra as quickly as possible. It is because of the ability to spit venom that the spitting cobra is one of the most dangerous of all cobras. However its bite rarely cause death. It can spitt the venom up to 2 metres which is however harmless to the intact skin, but it can be lethal if spitted on eyes or on some other sensitive areas.

A bite from the spitting cobra will cause alot of pain, but rarely resluts in death. However none of these animals will take such a risk to fight the cobra.

The indian mongoose [ Herpestidae family] is known to fight and kill cobras, it has short legs, rough fur, a long nose and a long tail. Its success depends on the speed with which it can move, dodging the snake as it strikes and seizing it by the head or neck . Mongoose have been introduced in a number of islands especially to get rid of snakes and rats. They have sometimes proved to be more of a problem tha a help, as they are quick to realise that it is easier to kill the local chickens, instead of tackling the snakes!

dr yaar, you are smart man...can't you imagine the situation I explained? or you want to stick to your wisdom that snakes don't bite so anyone killing them is an ignorant bastard?

there are places in the world where you might have to tread into the same space as the snakes....wiser thing is to kill the snake when you see it rather than going for its dna to find out whether is venomous or not.

in the other places like yours and mine..you see the cobra on TV and you say..."it is such a cutie pie." and keep munching on the burger.(T)

dude I worked in those conditions until I was 16 yrs old. lived around those conditions even longer, many of my beloved ones still do that. I have killed cobras around that time and after too. I was describing about those people and place and conditions...I would be a moron to kill a cobra now if I see it in my garage..of course i will call the appropriate authorities.:)
with great amount of luck I have been able to escape those conditions but it does not mean they don't exist anymore for other people...those people will kill the cobra and his mother the same way that I did..if they don't they will be morons not to do so...remember if you are bitten by a cobra you can't hire lawyers and sue anyone there:)...you are lucky if your feudal lord pays your wife 500 rs/- on your death as compensation.

you sound like that brat who told hungry people, who don't have bread, to eat buscuits.(T)

the reason india and pakistan are such hopeless, poor dispicable countries is that any desi who finds himself out of it, starts considering himself Mountbatton's khaba tatta and looking down on their own creed.:@

alphay/Dr saab, you guys won't understand it....when you plough the farms and water the 5 ft tall crops bare footed in the middle of the night you treat cobras differently than someone say an armchair animal rights activist watching it on discovery channel...like you guys.
as a farmer you treat your cattle like your family..you feed them before you feed yourself, you wash them like you are giving shower to your baby...you walk out in the middle of the night bare footed on 1 foot wide little lanes full of weeds and insects...you place your foot on the soil as if your mother's hand holding it..with complete trust in your territory..because thats only way you can do it..if you knew there may be a cobra crossing your path without you even being able to see it, you will treat it differntly when you are able to see it. you let it go, someone dear or near to you will bump into it again.

you are fcking morons judging the situation from your ivory towers.:@ calling me ignorant bastard and cruel trying to explain you the reality.:@:@

for you, I wish grain and basmati rice hits $500 a pound so that you will have to bite on a plougher's testicles to taste a grain of rice.:P

Heres the thing though, a cobra will dance over the sound of the flute and can be tamed, but will wolfie jiggle his bund over the classical tabla and be domesticated...kinda like a domestic partner.
