Looking at it dispassionately, no can't say I have.

India has taken some outstanding leaps in recent years; fair enough they still have a lot of issues to resolve. It is only natural her citizens express some pride in that.

OTOH, we have achieved nothing but continue to express ourselves in terms of grandeur only to fulfil the void in our sel-esteem

there is a difference; unfortunately can only be observed with a completely 'dispassionate' eye

Very well stated - we have never had any illusions of "Pakistan Shining."
Unfortunately, I am the most guilty one of putting down Pakistan and Pakis - only because I want a more just, more honest, more secure, and dependable Pakistan. I may have gone overboard, in my usual lack of moderation, and given the enemas too much comfort in drinking their own bathwater.
Pakistan, with its smaller population, vast land resources, more homogeneous and hard working population, and a firm belief in Allah, will turn around fast and then Inshallah, PAK SAR ZAMEEN SHAD BAAD
