Natural numbers are numbers we use for counting. Like counting sheeps, apples, oranges, etc.

If we have counted upto (say) 100 oranges in a cart on our left and we count 50 more oranges in a cart standing on our right, then we have all together 150 oranges. It does not matter whether we had counted oranges in the cart on right first or the one on the left first. Total would be same: 150. This is written as:

100 + 50 = 50 + 100

where ’’+’’ (plus) is the operation of addition. The fact that we can count in any order can be stated by saying that ’’+’’ operation is commutative. When we are done counting oranges in the first cart we resume counting from second cart not from beginning but from where we had left off. This we had expressed as counting ’’further’’. Or, ’’adding’’.

As south asians have appetite for nuclear arsenal ..... i think someday when I would visit this thread in future, someone would have tested nuclear device here on this thread by then ... if someone goes for a nuke test it ... do lemme know .... I wud love to see it .... i hope it wud be a cold test
