Mateen Mahmood Mohajir

Retired from Army after 32 years service, in the rank of Brigadier. Worked in over four Companies in senior management positions. Currently working on contract as Director in a well-known pharma Company.
I am an urdu-speaking Pakistani. My Family heritage goes back to the 1st Hijri, my ancestor at the time of Holy Prophet [PBUH] being 'Nazar bin Kunana bin Qureshi'. Migrated from Hejaz around 7th AH to settle for a few decades in a place known as 'Naet' near Basra, Iraq [hence our extended Clan is known as "Navaeta"]; thence to the Sub-continent through Arabian Sea to Malabar Coast [Bhatkal/Kokan] on Western-Southern Hindustan around 10 AH. Extensive Family settlements in Madras, Hyderabad, Banglore, Seringapatam/Arcot. Now, the Navaetas are spread all over the World.
Major Navaeta Families: MOHAJIR, CHIDA, MEHKARI, QURESHI, SAYEED, HYDARI, GHIAS, RAZVI.
