F. R. Khan is also interested in the following areas:

Analysis of Pakistan-India national security/military issues and questions of nuclear proliferation in South Asia.
Analysis of the process of democracy in Pakistan, with emphasis on institutional political independence.

Nuclear proliferation and the uses of disarmament study for the causes of peace.

Policy analysis of the emerging role of the United Nations’ peacekeeping/enforcing operations.

Analysis of American security, military, economic policies in the regional context of Asia, South Asia, Middle East and Africa.

Analysis of American security policies in the post-Cold War period.
