Murad Ali Baig is a well known Indian writer who does regular columns for leading journals on automobiles, travel, history, environment and religion. He is also director in a company that is setting up a number of biomass power projects in India. He has written books on cars, bar room jokes and a recent book on India's history, mythology and religion that is now going into a third edition. (an early draft of this book was first posted on Chowk in August 2000).
