Hammad Husain, 36, studied architecture at the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey. He has been practicing architecture in Islamabad since 1995. His works include private houses and corporate interiors. Hammad was selected for a Government of Japan fellowship in 2003 where he briefly worked for Nikken Sekkei, the largest architectural firm in the world. He has published widely in newspapers and is the first regular architecture columnist of the country. He has lectured in architecture schools and has presented papers at numerous international forums. He is a former chairman of the Institute of Architects, Pakistan (Islamabad Chapter)
