My name is Faisal Shahid. I was born in Karachi, Pakistan. My family moved to Singapore in 1980. I studied english literature and philosophy at a university in the USA. I now live and work in Singapore.
The two themes of philosophy that interest me are individualism and existentialism. I would like to keep reading and to understand a person’s role in his/her society and the responsibility (if any) that he owes to his/her society. One has to be a Whitman to talk of individuality, and a Neruda to talk of love.
